Eating dog meat has been around for centuries in China. At first the meat was eaten during times where there was a low food source. Now it is known as the “fragrant meat” and is popular in the cities of Guangdong and Guangxi.  Although there were limited sources to find dishes online, it is apparent that many restaurants sold dog meat in China if the government had to ban it during the Beijing Olympics. In a CNN report, the reporter went to a restaurant that served dog steak, dog with tofu and other dishes containing dog.
